Superintendent - Residential Construction

Jack Miller Contractors is a full-service building and remodeling general contractor seeking exceptional superintendents to serve the high-design and performance residential construction market in Berkshire County, MA, Bennington County, VT, and Eastern Capital District, NY. 

We are a passionate team of creative and skilled craftsmen dedicated to serving our clients by collaborating directly with them, their design team and expert trade professionals to build beautiful, durable, and efficient projects. We work hard to foster a stable and cooperative atmosphere in which our people thrive.

The Job Responsibilities of the Superintendent Position include:

  • Overall field management- administration and personnel

  • Work for the good of our clients, our company and its people, and our trade partners

  • Comply with all company policies and regulations

  • Develop and maintain project schedule.  

  • Schedule and coordinate work to be self-performed as well as performed by Trade Partners.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks

Requirements include:

  • A willingness to improve and learn every day

  • Master carpenter skill level

  • Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License or ability to obtain

  • OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications and ability to lay out and direct all work from plans and specifications

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Key competencies including leadership, initiative, communication, teamwork, managing for results, and coaching and mentoring

  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks

Carpenter - Residential Construction

Jack Miller Contractors is a full-service building and remodeling general contractor seeking skilled carpenters to serve the high-design and performance residential construction market in Berkshire County, MA, Bennington County, VT, and Eastern Capital District, NY.

The Job Responsibilities of the Carpenter Position Include:

  • Perform all aspects of residential carpentry including: layout, framing, sheathing, insulation, window & door installation, calculate material take offs, etc.

  • Work for the good of our clients, our company and its people, and our trade partners

  • Comply with all company policies and regulations

Requirements Include:

  • A willingness to improve and learn every day

  • Uncompromising attention to detail

  • Proficient rough and finish carpentry skills and knowledge of construction methods and techniques 

  • Ability to learn the high-performance construction industry, building science, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks
